Who are we?

Sisi Media is a not-for-profit media agency that uses journalism and public programming to create platforms for education, advocacy, and storytelling. 

How we operate

Original journalism

We publish our own magazine, SISI MAG, a Black feminist magazine that uses journalism as a means to educate, advocate, and create social change throughout the Black diaspora.

At SISI MAG, we truly believe that journalism is a public good, and that storytelling has the power to not only bring awareness, but also create change. Therefore, we are committed to documenting Black women’s stories, and using that storytelling as a means to improve the material realities of Black women everywhere. 

Beyond the page, we convene regular programming such as public events, dinners, and fundraisers that foster dialogue, collective learning, and action around social justice issues. We are building a media ecosystem that brings people together to learn, organize, and invest in social change.

Strategic partnerships

We also partner with brands and institutions to produce their own editorial products, or reshape their brand storytelling in a way that aligns values with action.

We offer brand storytelling and editorial production that is rooted in integrity, care, and accountability. We collaborate with both for-profit and not-for-profit entities committed to equity to create magazines, campaigns, and narratives that align values with action.

Our goal is to help organizations tell honest, impactful stories without dilution, without distraction, and without compromise.
